On this week's episode, Keith and Grant break down some discrepancies within the economic theory known as Universal Basic Income. This theory has gained a lot of traction as of late in the national media, due to the presence of an unlikely Presidential Candidate in Andrew Yang.
Are we able to pay for that? Won't people work less? Why should
the rich get it? Why not just improve current welfare programs? All
of these questions are covered in a great conversation centered
around trying to improve the bottom line of society.
The headlines were quite ridiculous this week. Among other things
discussed, a Japanese hotel chain apologizes for allowing hackers
to peep on guests through bedside robots, and you will go to jail
for trick or treating at the age of 12 in some states. Grant agrees
with that one. Go figure.
